Thought UA lost?
Wazzuâs about to lose.
Arizona women and Wazzu men have now both lost.
Wow the Utes womens team is looking good tonight, up 20-3 after one quarter. South Dakota is on a 21-game win streak.
What a disastrous 2nd quarter, cold shooting and sloppiness coupled with a series of ridiculous calls by the officials. Sheesh.
Oregon in a barn burner with Creighton
How did Creighton, of all teams, develop such a strong program?
What is it about Creighton that makes their program strength especially surprising?
Toughness. They were tougher than Oregon tonight
Now only one PAC 12 team left. A future Big 12 team. Second round wins are just brutal to get.
As lower seeded teams, sans UA, P12 has performed very well.
Sure. Tournament always shows teams are closer than most think but later rounds show a conferenceâs depth.
Edit: welp. SEC women are not having the issue the Men had (looks at UNC vs USC score).
USU is just playing dumb. Not saying it wouldnât be losing, anyway, but players have been making really poor decisions.
You know, itâs kind of funny that all we heard all season was how amazing the Big 12 was and how BYU finishing tied for 5th was such an unbelievable accomplishment. Iâll tip my hat to the Cougars and agree they did a nice this season exceeding expectations. And the Big 12 was definitely deep. But that supposed powerhouse of a conference has just two of its nine NCAA Tournament teams reaching the Sweet 16. Thatâs not great.
ACC is the only P5 with more than 2 teams in Sweet 16. Also, B12 had 8 teams make it to tourney and only one is in Sweet 16 currently unless you are already counting Arizona.
I was counting Houston but just realized they are playing currently.
Yup. Could be the SEC joining the ACC in more than 2 or Big XII getting 2.
GeezâŚin the Houston-ATM game there were 52 fouls called and 75 FTâs attempted (50 made)
6 players fouled out, 4 of them were starters for Houston.
In the Alabama game very few were called, a dude left with a concussion on one team, multiple bloody faces. Def not consistent calling between games. lol
So Houston is the second big XII team.
Sweet 16 by conf:
4 â ACC
3 â Big East
2 â SEC, Big Ten, Big 12
1 â Pac-12, Mountain West, WCC
I overlooked the Big East having more than 2. Big XII is adding one team next season so there is that.
