He has one year left, and is eligible immediately. Utes are currently at the scholarship limit of 13, so if he comes to Utah someone will have to move on to make room for him.

Ditto, and for what it’s worth, I’ve got pretty mixed feelings. The fact that his family went against coach’s recommendation to red shirt him was concerning, and despite his availability, not being able to crack a pretty thin rotation despite being 7’4 also was concerning, so it might be for the best but we’ll see.
Not sure why an extra year of free education is a bad thing? Families can be the best of things as well as the worst of things at times.
