Energy in the stadium is as good as it’s been all year. Everyone’s fired up, this is fun.
Super happy with the offense so far. Couldn’t ask for much more in a half.
Rose has definitely provided a spark. He just looks a lot more comfortable than Wilson. Singer has incredible hands. Seems to catch almost anything his way. A lot of football left but at least this team resembles Utah teams of the past. The last 4 games have been incredibly bad.
As noted earlier… I’m thrilled with the play calling on offense. Other than the failed trick play it’s looking really solid.
I do not miss the continual runs up the middle that failed all too often.
Running it up the middle can work when the defense has to worry about an effective pass game. Utah’s offense has been so bad the past several weeks with essentially no pass game.
Kyle Van Noy is live tweeting during the game. Kind of entertaining so far.

Hope Kuithe is okay
Crap
This is the first time I’ve seen byu play but… how are they undefeated?? Even in a league like the B12. They’re not good.
Our D is definitely bothering Retlaff. He’s rushing throws because he hears footsteps and sees big hands waving around.
Agreed, I think that’s becoming very effective.
They’re OVERRATED.
Singer has been nails.
Why are they picking us apart now? We
Aren’t getting pressure all of a sudden but we are Swiss cheese.
5 straight losses and I’m just over this whole week and season. Wake me up in a couple years.
And Kuithe is gone for the year
Well after hearing Harlan in his post game comments to the press I suspect we’re going to learn more about the Big 12’s fine policies.
I’d like to go back and watch the BYU sideline right before the failed 4th down play of the zoobs on the 2 yard line, with about 2 minutes to go. It was loud and chaotic, but everyone in stadium thought the game was over including the zoom players until 15 seconds later when the refs announced the play didn’t happen as Byu had called timeout.
I do think the referees behaved outrageously and pretty much stole the game from us. However, none of that last-second nonsense would have mattered if we had not allowed BYU to shut us out during the entire second half, or if we had managed to make a first down or two in that final 90 seconds when we simply had to. Our offense’s stalls at the worst possible times–when they mattered most–left us in the position where weird things could happen at the end of the game.
Fully agree. The officiating was beyond horrid, but Utah had a half dozen chances to seal away that win and failed every. single. time. No one could step up and make that ONE big play when it mattered most.
The story of this entire season, really.
