Sorry, I was all thumbs for a few seconds and accidentally closed the topic. It’s open again.
Keita is a monster
Erickson has been awful.
We haven’t practiced breaking a press?
That wasn’t a foul on Keita and Erickson got fouled twice, and after the steal there’s a blatant hook to clear him.
Keita with a heroic defensive move.
Wait, the zoobs are ranked?
Well, we made it interesting, but I think this is a fine win.
And #1 in Net rating.
Why were we shooting threes when a high percentage two was good enough?
We got the win, but it didn’t need to be this close. Game ball to Keita.
Were #1.
General Gregbar says that’s a trap! ![]()
Walton: “Keba Keita! Keba Keita! Keba Keita! Keba Keita!”
Me: “Would somebody get this man an edible?…but he’s right!”
Will be great to see Exacte on the court. Would have been awesome to get Smith too - especially for games like this where Wooster struggled.
Really nice win for the Utes tonight.
We got the toned-down version of Walton tonight too.
So I guess we are going to the the Final 4?
I love BW though. Met him at the Hollywood Bowl. I shook hands and said “Thank you for your care and knowledge of the University of Utah.” Bill was an Academic All American at UCLA. Tonight, he mentioned the high graduation rate and majority of outstanding student athlete’s at the U.
Go UTES!!
For all the fun we have in riding Walton, he really is a remarkable human being. The ESPN 30 for 30s on him (two!) reveal how remarkable.
Who in a thousand years would guess he once had a major studdering problem?
Relentlessly positive dude.
Such a great game and an electric environment. I just don’t understand those that would rather not play BYU. I want them every year in every sport.
Good game Utah. The scenario for a Utah victory played out like I feared. Carlson played, Utah built up a large enough 1st half lead to withstand BYU’s 2nd half run, due to better depth and Utah hung on and won by less than 5. Anyways, good talking with you all and I do think that BYU will make the tournament and as long as Carlson stays healthy I think Utah will as well.
