Fellow Ute Fans, perspective from here in San Antonio. First, proud to say lots of Utah fans here and representing the U well. All were genuine and as I was here with my brother who’s a Texas grad and was wearing his Horns gear many complimented him after the game. Second, in seeing the Utes in person for the first time in a few years the speed and size of the Texas skill players, along with a ineffective Utah O-line was the difference in the game.
Just as there was a step change in talent between the MWC and the PAC 12 there is a step change from the second best team in the PAC 12 and the third or fourth team in the Big 12. So until all of the PAC 12, including Utah, can attract 4-5 star talent this will continue to occur…having said that, a good season, and after suffering through Utah football in the mid-70s I’ll take the fun of the PAC 12 and a good bowl game everyday and twice on Sunday!
