Inside the city limits very much so. Outside it varies depending on where you are.

Most “Red States” are that way. Even Birmingham, Alabama can be somewhat progressive.

Nashville is a Progressive city in a red state (Think how ATL is to Georgia). That said, it’s got awful roads and the state is hampered by backward politics. I live 40 minutes out of Nashville. I’m more likely to move to LA than Nashville after my daughter graduates.

Bama…which direction are you from Nashville? I’ve traveled there many times and have close friends in Clarksville. Even went to the country club there. Ha

I’m North on I-65 out of Nashville in Bowling Green.

It depends on where you are in the Valley. Some communities are very diverse and inclusive. Others…not so much. The truth is it’s not great, but not bad.

I would say the inclusive and diverse are mostly found north of 7200 South.

After living in SLC proper for 5 years I call it the Austin of Utah.

And likely south of North SLC. Also a pocket in Ogden. I’m Davis County, home of not-so-understanding and maybe only just a shade better than Happy Valley.
