While you almost never heard anyone say a bad thing about Ozzy as a person, you almost never heard anyone say a good thing about Hogan as a person. That’s his enduring legacy for me.

I’m glad I got to see him play in the first major league game I was able to attend. He really was a GOAT.
He helped me become a Cubs fan way back when. Being on WGN all spring and summer didn’t hurt. This one kinda hurts, and brings back a fair bit of nostalgia.
He was in the only games I ever saw. A double header on July 4 in 1983.
WGN… I didn’t realize how good Sandberg was, but Harry Caray talking about him is in my ears like it was yesterday.
