What was the deal with the different players for CU having to hold this black 4x4" board over their heads the whole game. Anyone know what the deal is with that? Super weird.
Homage to Hacksaw Jim Duggan?
It was very weird. I also saw coaches hold it up. I’ve googled it and can’t find an answer. Some sort of motivational thing? I wondered if it was religious. Maybe it has something to do with the movie Unbroken (I’ve never seen the movie so don’t know). Anyone help a brother out?
When Google fails use Reddit.
Just spit balling here but I believe it is part of CU’s celebration of Festivus and the “feats of strength” aspect of the holiday. The steel pole was erected shortly after the game.
