I agree that BYU (many of the fans, at least) are in for a bit of a rude awakening when it comes to expectations in the B12. Even the middle and lower teams have P5 athletes. If you aren’t ready to play, they will beat you.

I’m kind of hoping that since there’s a 2 year window as far as getting ready to join the B12, BYU will be able to get a jump on adding quality depth prior to joining the league. I think that could help with depth, but it won’t necessarily help with acclimatizing to every week being a potential slog.

I was one of those people poo-pooing the idea of the constant grind of the power conferences when we were in the MWC. I think I was among the first to say I was wrong about that. Rude awakening, indeed.
