Well, we got t the win, but damn that was a messy game! The penalties were almost Raideresque.

Well, we’re 3-0 now. FWIW we beat the spread, and got out of the OOC schedule in one piece.
Next week is going to be a big step up in competition. I hope the A game shows up for that one.

Seems like our Utes and Texas Tech both are teams we still don’t know much about… I have no idea what to expect next week.
TT did blow out Oregon St at home today, but OSU looks bad this year.. I mean really bad. TT also had lopsided wins against Kent St. and the mighty Golden Lions of Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

The first half was some Ugly-ball for the ages.
Wyoming did what they always do, sell-out like crazy to take down a name opponent. They beat #25 Texas Tech a few years ago.
We turned the tide and actually covered the spread! The Poke student body seemed pretty happy, one way or the other.
Plenty to focus on this week, and we’re 3-0. Can’t ask for more.

Kicking In Laramie is not easy. The wind swirls through War Memorial are more intense than the ones that swirled through Candlestick Park - another kicker’s nightmare. Hopefully he learned from it and didn’t get the yips from it.
As ugly as that game was, the only thing that was missing was the coach getting lit on fire by the outdoor heater. I only bring this up because know it was on @NewbombTurk ‘s Wyoming Football Game Bingo Card.

I was there. No wind at field level. All flags completely limp. A slight breeze at the top of the stadium 1st half, but that’s it. Weather to and from the game, but the actual game was perfect football weather. 50 and aforementioned slight breeze.
Right hash was wide right, then he overadjusted and hit left upright, then he seemed to be in his head that he might have the yips and kicked low so it got blocked. He was laser focused at halftime warmups and hit one from 60 (not line though). Luckily, we scored TDs and he could gain some confidence on XP.

Have to clean up the penalties. Officials had a bit of a tight hand but some of our infractions were fairly obvious miscues.
KUDOS to our defense pitching a shutout until late in the game. With only 3 points at the half, we needed to keep the Pokes off the board until the offense got it together after the break,

I had to look it up for an explanation. Since CU played on Friday, and CSU was on a bye, the wind didn’t blow because the primary suckers were not in operation.

Right? At Buccees (granted, CO), rain was coming in sideways and afternoon winds were high in Laramie, so it actually was miraculous how good the weather was for pretty much the whole game. No rain, slight 1H breeze. Rain amd lightning on the way home. Just a lucky window
