Word is that he is following Burgess.
We may not win a game in the Big 12 next year.

D-III is a lovely spot to land…perhaps, a founding member of an intermountain conference?
Chaos! Tear it all down.
I am not there yet, but am moving in that direction. I have enjoyed football over the past 50 years, even when the Utes were bad. Same for men’s basketball. I have enjoyed the olympic and women’s sports much more since they have been easy to view on either the PAC 12 network or UofU streaming. Utah basketball helped me through a difficult period in my life in the 90’s and it hurts me to see it fall on such bad times.
With all these open scholarships. I like the flexibility.
I don’t know if I could say it any better myself. The implosion of the PAC was the last straw for me, and the incessant emails from the U athletic department to raise money was a disgusting aside, but this basketball nonsense is beating the dead horse with a nuclear warhead.
I’ve gone from just general level of apathy, to disgust in the matter of a few months. The only thing left for me is to extract as much money as possible from selling my season tickets and stop by the tailgate lot to say hi to friends. We should have never left the Mountain West.
That is indeed the only thing left.
A bit of a tangent. Burgess’s daughter, KJ, a terrific middle-blocker for the Utes volleyball team transferred to Oklahoma. She sat out last season because of injury. Too bad, was looking forward to having her back.
So, zero Burgess member in the Utah athletics now.
Disappointed 9 million* Ute fans.
