I have watched football for 40-plus years. I may be slightly exaggerating, but I can’t think of a worse red-zone offense than this Utah team. It’s almost comical had bad they are. Here we are with a head coach in his 20th season with the team and an OC who has 20-plus years of experience calling plays, not to mention several offensive players who have dozens of games under their belts, and Utah can’t even get a yard in the red zone. You take a sack on first, run a direct snap to the tight end for no gain on second? It’s utterly pathetic, and it’s going to lose the game—again—for Utah. How is it even possible to be so inept inside the 20 and more so inside the 10?

I’m not seeing anything from Utah to suggest they can pull ahead for a win. ASU has it clicking on every cylinder and Utah does not.
I don’t even think putting Wilson in can make up the difference. I hate to say it, but I think Utah is broken in too many places. This hurts. BAD.

I see Whitt wants to go out on a high note.
Am I off base and out of line to suggest that Whit looks tired, that maybe his passion for this job is not what is used to be?
I’m not yet willing to start questioning Whitts ability, or dedication, but I might be close to questioning his judgement in staying with Rising.
I too really want to see him succeed, he’s an incredibly talented guy, and has won a lot of games for Utah, but I’m afraid I may be seeing someone who is past his prime, physically, more than mentally or psychologically…
I’ll stay tuned in for the second half, and pray I’m wrong.

Our half yard gain the first time we ran Kuithe from a direct snap must have scared ASU since they called time out the second time.

I’ve noticed. I think that’s how he psychs himself up. I’d like to see him in an interview to see if it’s something else.
