Andy Ludwig & Cam Rising Era, RIP

He’s out there, he’s in uniform, he regularly catches balls when QBs are warming up.

What…the… (sigh)

I am sure there are those here who know but can’t say, but I do wonder behind the scenes if there was disagreement about keeping Cam in against ASU, keeping Wilson in against TCU, using some guys and not others (the King example), and the schemes of the OL, various things of this nature on offense.

Just wonderin’

It’s not worth saying, “I told you so,” but I told you so.

Well then, congratulations are in order for you and your Cougs, I guess. Great job, great great job.

All the way this year. I can’t believe it’s finally happening! :dango:
And, that West Virginia team seems to be ahead of us, also.
I’m to understand that they haven’t been relevant for years.

As if your pathetic team could beat Ohio State, Oregon, Miami, or Georgia. You delusional Zoobs always amuse me.

My pathetic team, the University of Utah, would certainly lose to these clubs.
If it makes you feel like a good troll to throw out the ‘you are a BYU fan’, I accept it.
But, I have been a Ute before most current fans were born, so it ain’t stickin’, sir.

I’d post reasons for my hate for that place, but they’d get flagged.

The Athletics department spent two years focusing on a player who had a severe injury, driving the program into the turf in the process. And, the ‘zoobs’ on this board supported it, openly aggressive to thoughts of looking elsewhere for a QB to direct our previously Top 25 program.

I am sorry I returned to this board.

We are too.

Here’s a thought. You might have gotten a better outcome if you hadn’t returned with an “I told you so!” post, especially with a fanbase licking their wounds after a 4-game losing streak.

Arms reminds me of an old joke: A guy goes to see a psychologist and says, “Doc, I have a hard time making friends you fat slob!!!

Don’t feed the damned trolls.

By al that’s good, honorable and successful about BYU, starting with this year’s football results, please don’t ever use that comment again. It’s the most dishonest, hypocritical and unoriginal smack possible, not to mention one of the very few statements that waves a red flag in front of my bull. Bear Bryant always taught his players, “when you get to the end zone, act like you’ve been there before.” Please figuratively do likewise, saying that as a BYU fan who takes a backseat to no one in my passion but who also has a number of ultra-classy and respectful Ute fans, who I respect profoundly and why your comment is anathema to me.

In writing this, I’m not trying to suck up to Ute fans nor be their toadie. Rather, I despise that statement, in any context and especially when it comes from anyone associated with my alma mater.

First, I am not in any way a supporter of that ***************** ‘school’ in Provo. If there is a hell, the leaders of that **** will certainly find a nice split level duplex there to call home.

I feel I have every right to tell this board, a board which ostracized and openly abused me when it felt that my opinions, posts, etc. were not a proper fit, that my views regarding the football program’s recruiting focus were not the ravings of a zoob troll, but rather the honest views of a realist Utah fan who saw the writing on the wall.

I don’t see the comment, but since it’s hidden and I’ve only ever blocked one person in 20 years at UFN, I can safely assume a certain someone has come back to do his troll thing.

Don’t worry, we all just ignore him anyways.

Couldn’t agree more. . . Same with early season rankings. 1 good win early in the season with 2-3 FCS caliber wins will get a team a lot of hype. I am glad the CFP doesn’t give oput rankings until 7-8 games into the season, atleast there is enough data there to be reasonably accurate.

In the pros, both hoops & FB there is a salary scale/cap on what rookies can make and it is less than the experienced players.
And with college playing background & draft they have a decent idea what/who they are getting.

In college there is no cap so the rookies/recruits who may or may not pan out get big $ from bidding wars. The Utes lost the Corner Canyon receiver & the 4* O-line recruit because USC paid them top dollar. This may at some point cause locker room issues, especially if they are not ready —like Isaac Wilson & others, yet they are still getting more $$ than more worthy teammates.

And there is no easy answer.

No wonder big name college coaches are retiring.

You hit the nail on the head. How long until the guys that are working just as hard as the big name guys getting big bucks, or likely harder because they’re trying to get a degree for life after college, just say screw it? NIL with no guard rails is going to kill college football sooner rather than later.

USC is constantly griping that they cant compete, and keep losing recruits to Oregon and other top tier programs because of NIL.

College athletics is in a weird, sad place.

I’d argue it already has.
