Just a note of interest: At the breakfast there was a discussion about how bad service has been from the ticket office, and the athletic department in general, the last few years. I’m trying to get tickets to the Utah @ Colorado game, so I went to the Utetickets site, they popped up a chat box that says sends us a text and we’ll get right back to you. Did so. Got a text saying they’ll get right back to me. That was over 3 hours ago.
You cannot say customer service is their thing.

We just hiked in the High Sierra camps. 100 yo tradition of young outdoor types in their 2-'s to 30’s dishing out “family style” foods and giving “local” trail knowledge to those staggering in after reasonably substantial hikes. We were surprised by the change to minimal eye contact, passive aggressive attitude and minimal customer service. not sure what the deal is with the change from a prior family owned local California company to fund/refurbish and run the camps, but it felt like the recent shift in the postal service with the transition to Aramak. While the food wasn’t prison quality, one meal had a cabbage soup with basically, water and cabbage. Not a lot of effort in that. Zero effort. It’s almost as if someone is maximizing profits while totally disenfranchising the very people who are fit enough to travel and observe the beauty of the National Park Service.
