For whatever reason, Br Carlson has struggled to get bigger… but he can shoot, and he’s really a good weak side rim protector (especially).
Wahlin looks like he’ll be able to keep filling out, with pretty good definition.

fingers crossed
All depends on what his game ultimately is.
6’10” 215 used to be way underweight, but in 2023 there are guys playing in the NBA, and playing well at similar sizes.
I don’t like this attitude.

This move ought to give Pili help down low, and basically replaces Kelsey Rees who transferred to Oregon State.
Crispe, a 6’3" post, comes to the Utes from Boston University where she was a freshman in 2022-23. She played in all 33 games and started in seven games. The Castle Pines, Colo., native, averaged 5.6 points per game and 3.8 rebounds per game. She led the Terriers with an .886 free throw percentage and ranked third on the team with 127 total boards.
Crispe recorded a career high of 16 points against Boston College going 8-8 from the free throw line.
She shot .438 from the field going 70-160 and .886 from the free throw line. She pulled down 48 offensive boards and 79 defensive boards. She also posted 43 assists and 15 blocks.
Didn’t know Reese transferred. We have Rene Sow, who’s 6’8" and was with that program last year. Have no idea if she’s serviceable.
P12 WBB is going to be tougher next season. fUCLA added a bunch. UA, which gave us tough battles, added a highly ranked group. Oregon also added a bunch. Stanford, well, is Stanford.
Not technically free agency but word is BC is coming back. Huge news.
Utah WBB also lost Teya Sidberry (the kid from Judge) to Boston College and Naya Ojukwe to Gonzaga.
With the addition of Wilke, Blanck (who is a walk-on I think), and Crispe, it replaces some of what we lost. There are only 8 players shown on the WBB roster on the website currently (not including the three above), so that makes 11. I would guess the rest of the scholies are recruited freshman?
Posted a few places, Branden Carlson is returning.
RayJ headed to Baylor. Hopefully we go after another young SF weird to have no true incoming freshman. (Wahlin coming off his mission.)

RayJ is a guard. While I think take should get the best available players, they’re pretty set for guards, especially juniors and seniors.
Are we down to one spot left with BC returning? What’s the biggest need?
We need a wing that can shoot and defend.
This has been such a weird situation. I hope coach is okay. That being said now Smith could up to 3 new coaches.
This would fill a huge need of an athletic wing that can plays some D

He went to Penn st ![]()
He’s a walk on, so I would hope he doesn’t play till he’s a junior or senior. He has some nice athleticism.
