Nice. Two short weeks. Great home schedule.
I think this is actually a really great schedule.
Sep. 2nd Weber State Wildcats - great way to work out kinks with live action
Sep. 11th at BYU Cougars - not that worried
Sep. 18th at San Diego State Aztecs - good true first road game to Southern Cal
Sept. 25th Washington State Cougars - pick up the level of competition
Oct. 2nd - Bye - great timing for a bye to prep for USC
Oct. 9th at USC Trojans - really see who the team is
Oct. 16th Arizona State Sun Devils - will be a tough game, but benefit that it’s home
Oct. 23rd at Oregon State - will be closer than we think being on the road with Ore St. improving
Oct. 30th UCLA Bruins - late Oct game in SLC for a S. Cal team? good
Nov. 5th (Friday) at Stanford Cardinal - usually match up well, you never know but they’ve been a little down lately. short week
Nov. 13th at Arizona Wildcats - no issue
Nov. 20th Oregon Ducks - might determine if we go to the championship game or not
Nov. 26th (Friday) Colorado Buffaloes - short week, but home for last 2 weeks
Nice to avoid Washington. Cal is the other team we don’t play.
Obviously Oct 9 & 16 will determine the South for us - those are the make it or break it weeks. Nice to have 4 weeks with increasing competition and road experience to prep for that and work in all the new players. Nov 20th is the 3rd most important game.
Nice, printable grid.
road trips to San Diego, USC and Palo Alto.
couldn’t afford all 3, but one of those destinations would be nice
NOTE: SDSU is playing their games at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, CA (LA area) in 2021 NOT in SAN DIEGO!
FB to Play at Dignity Health Sports Park in 2021 - SDSU Athletics.
San Diego State University and its athletic department announced today that the 2021 football home games – both spring and fall seasons – will be played at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. The decision allows the University to expedite its work on the construction site adjacent to SDCCU Stadium and continue progress on a new stadium, which will be the future home of Aztec football in Mission Valley. The new stadium is scheduled to open in fall 2022.
This is pretty weird. Carson? Really?
I might want to road trip for that one…or the trip to the Mausoleum.
If I go to the Mausoleum I wonder if I can find a ticket closer to the field than my hotel room.
No kidding. Of all the choices, that’s the one? They are going to bus the team up for all their home games? There’s nothing else in the SD area while they build the new stadium? I guess at least it’s Southern LA (I don’t really know LA geography that well).
Purely location-wise it is kinda odd, but as far as a stadium it is really nice. For anyone not aware this is a smaller stadium on Cal State Dominguez Hills campus, where the LA Galaxy play their home games and the Chargers played for a couple seasons after first relocating from SD.
Most of those “Sold Out” spots are business, corporations etc.
The seats closest to the field with fees etc were $15,000 a seat this year. Even a couple tiers up was $8-10,000.
I will stay in the NEZ…OK, I already got my NEZ tix paid for.
Is it football season yet?
